Janet Copland is a seasoned Direct Response Fundraising Specialist with over 35 years of experience helping nonprofits maximize their donor engagement and fundraising impact. Currently, she serves as a key advisor at FitFundraising, where she specializes in crafting data-driven direct mail strategies that drive donor retention and long-term growth.
Throughout her career, Janet has worked with a diverse range of organizations, including humanitarian, religious, health, and animal welfare nonprofits. She has a proven track record in major gift programs, donor file analysis, fundraising audits, program evaluations, and response analysis, ensuring that organizations can optimize their outreach and fundraising performance.
Before joining FitFundraising, Janet was a Senior Partner at Donor Development Partners for nearly 13 years, helping nonprofits expand their donor base and increase giving. She also led Copland O’Neil, a direct response fundraising agency, for over a decade. Earlier in her career, she held leadership roles at Food For The Poor, Russ Reid Company, Direct Media, and UNICEF USA, shaping some of the most successful nonprofit fundraising programs.
Based in Pompano Beach, FL, Janet remains passionate about helping organizations develop effective, sustainable fundraising strategies that make a lasting impact.
