Roy Jones
Roy Jones is a nationally recognized expert in relationship-building, coalition development, and major gift fundraising. With over 30 years of experience, he has advised top charities, led record-breaking campaigns, and authored Rainmaking – The Fundraiser’s Guide to Landing Big Gifts, an award-winning book on major gifts.
As the Founder and President of Fit Fundraising, Roy helps nonprofits maximize their impact through strategic fundraising counsel. His career highlights include leading a $200 million capital campaign at Mercy Ships International, where donor support grew to over 200,000. He previously served as Vice President of Development at Liberty University, overseeing major giving and estate planning.
Roy also advised Russ Reid, the nation’s largest fundraising agency, and has worked with organizations like the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem, Mission Aviation Fellowship, Nightbirde Foundation and Mercy Ships International. He holds degrees in Political Science and Business Leadership from Liberty University and is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE).
